EEH ‘s long‑term plans to create a centre of excellence for major early‑stage scheme development in the region are making significant progress during 2022.
In January 2022, EEH secured additional funding from DfT to create a regional centre of excellence specialising in early-stage major scheme development and ‘enhancing regional client-side capability’ for our local authority partners.
The top three areas where our partners are seeking support are technical assurance; data and evidence base; and business case writing and project plan development.
Work on establishing a trial for the centre of excellence is now underway.
