Board

The Strategic Transport Leadership Board provides leadership and oversight of all aspects of England's Economic Heartland.

Its membership consists of the leaders of the local transport authorities in the region. Associate and observer members include representatives from organisations including growth boards, the EEH Bus Operators' Association, DfT, National Highways and Network Rail.

Cllr Liz Leffman (leader of Oxfordshire County Council) is Chair.

In September 2021 England’s Economic Heartland’s governance structure was strengthened following a review by the leaders of our local authority partners.

Our two political-level meetings – the Strategic Transport Forum and EEH Leaders Group meeting – were consolidated into a single meeting, provisionally titled the ‘Strategic Transport Leadership Board’.
